An op-ed by Utah County Sheriff Jim Tracy was published by the Daily Herald in their  June 6, 2018 edition. In the opinion piece, Sheriff Tracy outlines his concerns about school safety and maintaining second amendment rights of US citizens. He also adds his name to the long list of endorsements Congressman Curtis has received going into the 2018 primary election.

Sheriff Tracy said, “In order to implement effective solutions to a problem as complicated as school shootings, we need people who are willing to have conversations with people with whom they may disagree. It will take someone who is committed to listening to all stakeholders and then working together toward effective solutions. Congressman Curtis has shown he is that type of lawmaker. He has earned my support in the June 26 Republican primary.”
